Center for Children’s Literature

The Center for Children’s Literature at Carthage College supports teaching and learning related to children’s and young adult literature. It provides educational services based on the collection to students, educators, librarians, and parents.

The center, located on the lower level of Carthage’s Hedberg Library, has more than 25,000 recent children’s and young adult titles for kindergarten through high school. Nearly 2,500 new volumes are added each year.

The center is dedicated to excellence in teaching with quality literature for children and young adults, recognizing the importance of multicultural and international resources for learning about the world.
